Opening November 2012.
The James Royal Palm has announced the opening of a new “Cultural Collection” in partnership with New World Symphony, YoungArts, the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, and public school fashion design house, which will unite some of Miami’s best organizations and will provide a new approach to Miami hospitality.
The Cultural Collection will present guests and locals inspired experiences that will live on at The James Royal Palm, from original works of art to high-fashion custom-made uniforms, one-of-a-kind performances, curated playlists, on-site VIP experiences with art previews, meet and greets with artists, and ongoing guest services tied to arts and culture. The James Royal Palm’s Cultural Collection is focusing on creating long-term partnerships with these organizations, so that the experiences and offerings will endure in this new creative space, opening on Collins Avenue this month.
With the ongoing trend of hotel lobbies becoming modern-day piazzas – gathering places not only for tourists but also locals in the cities in which they are located, hotels are becoming more robust in what they offer via their public spaces. In light of Miami’s evolving reputation with the arts, The James Royal Palm is trying to create a true cultural hub in which to find a central gathering place for the best from the local arts scene.
The James Royal Palm picked the partners as complements to the shared mission and commitment to supporting the local community and promoting emerging art and culture. These alignments solidify hotel as an artistically inspired and locally infused property deeply connected to authentic cultural experiences in Miami.
