MOCA by Moonlight

January 2009.  The Museum of Contemporary Art introduces new hours in 2009. Starting on January 7th, MOCA will be open from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. every Wednesday.  On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, galleries will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Galleries are open on Sundays from noon to 5:00 p.m. and closed on Mondays.

The Rubell Family Collection

$1 million worth of works by Purvis Young.  Rubell Family Collection donates $1 million worth of works from Miami folk artist Purvis Young to Morehouse College, considered the best college in the nation for educating African Americans. Morehouse officials are expected to announce the gift soon, the single largest art donation ever to the all-male historically black college.
