From Mar 13th through Apr 30th, 2010. The phrase “Goody two-shoes’” often used to describe an excessively or annoyingly virtuous person, has in recent years developed a more negative connotation, implying that the virtuousness of a goody two-shoes is insincere.

Calix Gustav Gallery is that hot new space that might have caught your eye on gallery night located right across the street from the Rubell Family Collection. Director Amanda Fernandez-Leon opened the gallery doors last October of 2009 and has since then implemented an aesthetic for the space that is very much her own.

ArtSpace/Virginia Miller Galleries. From Mar 5th through Jun 2010. Vistas: Landscapes Interpreted, on view at ArtSpace/Virginia Miller Galleries this month, offers a half-dozen widely varied artistic statements about one of art’s most common genres. Paintings of Wulf Barsch have been interpreted as “cosmic imagery” because his subject matter often combines geometrical, intellectual, and mystical elements with Egyptian and Islamic references.

From Mar 13th through Apr 2010. KaBe Contemporary presents the works of young Italian artists Luca Pozzi, Francesca Pizzo and Studio ++, in collaboration with Galleria 42 from Modena, Italy. From Jan 16th through Feb 27th, 2010. Spinello Gallery presents “Resurrection,” the solo exhibition by Miami’s female draftsman, Christina Pettersson. The Swedish born artist will undoubtedly wow you with her multidisciplinary exhibition featuring a suite of large-scale graphite drawings on paper, video, and sculpture. This will be Petterson’s second solo exhibition with the gallery.
