Join PAN, the Performing Arts Network, on Sunday 27 April, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. for their Grand Opening Celebration Afternoon of the Phoenix, a collage of performances in Dance, Music and Theatre from some of South Florida’s finest performing artists and companies as part of the Miami Dance Festival.
Like the legendary Phoenix, this North Miami treasure rises again from the ashes of a fire that virtually destroyed their facilities. As dancers, musicians, actors and mimes entertain and inspire you with samples of their work, we celebrate the re-emergence of PAN. Food and drink will be provided by some of North Miami’s favorite restaurants.
Dance Now! Ensemble, Momentum Dance Company, Ballet Flamenco La Rosa, Kuyayky, Harmonic Motion, Children’s African Dance Company, Miami Urban Dance, Tango Axis along with individual artists Nina Martin, Lela Lombardo, Juan Maria Seller, Effy Polizogopoulus, Mayelu Perez, Jorge Robledo, Juan Sobrino Iriesta, Sofia Yanez and Lucian Williams are just a few of the professional artists that have taught, rehearsed and performed at PAN throughout the years. In Afternoon of the Phoenix, they contribute their talents and energy to make this day an unforgettable experience of art and culture: giving students, audiences and artists an exciting glimpse into PAN’s future.
