Jewish Museum of Florida presents a panel discussion on the Healing Chamber Exhibit and Kabbalah on January 31st, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.Three authorities on Kabbalah will do a presentation on the healing power of Kabbalah, accompanied by a question and answer session. The event promises to offer diverse insights into the world of Jewish mysticism. This program complements the Museum's new art installation, PsalmSong: Healing Through the Art of Carol Hamoy.
Featured on the panel will be Rabbi Chaim Solomon is a graduate of the Yeshiva Kol Yehuda in New York and a prominent teacher of Kabbalah. Rabbi Solomon, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UCLA, has conducted seminars around the world on Kabbalah and Health, Kabbalah as it relates to Science, Kabbalistic meditation and other spiritual arts.
The panelists' presentations will address elements of PsalmSong: Healing Through the Art of Carol Hamoy. The artist has created a work of art inspired by the ten Psalms deemed by Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav to promote healing. The exhibit is a five-sided meditation chamber comprised of symbolic chairs and panels. Ms. Hamoy has designed an environment conducive to reflection, prayer and meditation, a sanctuary for the soul.
