Sept 23rd through Sept 26th, 2010.
Founded in 2006 by Carlos Daniels, the Palm Beach International Latin Film Festival features movies in the Hispanic language that have achieved some success around the world. Countries like Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Argentina and Brazil are well known for producing successful Latin movies. The event also showcases movies that don’t make it to theaters in Palm Beach County and moviegoers can watch them during the festival.
The main location for the IV Palm Beach International Latin Film Festival will be Daniels Center for the Arts located in CityPlace, another of the new Carlos Daniel’s ventures who recently opened its doors. The venue is a 4000 sq. ft. gallery, a retail store and a venue for special events and art exhibits. Movies will be shown here from Thursday September 23rd until Sunday September 26th. The other location for the event will be the West Palm Beach Public Library located on Clematis St. in an alliance amongst the Palm Beach International Latin Film Festival and the City of West Palm Beach.
The event kicks off with a reception on Thursday September 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Center for the Arts. A full schedule of movies and events related to the festival will be placed on the official website.
