Discovery Series’ 10th Anniversary Edition From May 8th through May 13th, 2007Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Miami International Piano Festival has been regarded as one of the most exciting recital series on the global classical music scene. This South Florida event has continually presented unique programs performed by established artists, as well as emerging ones. These virtuosos honor us with their distinctive traditional voices, but have also challenged old conventions, demonstrating that there are still many new ideas to be expressed in the classical piano arena. 2007 marks a milestone for the Festival. The presenting organization, Patrons of Exceptional Artists, a publicly supported foundation dedicated to the career development of future great performing artists, has planned an extraordinary selection of concerts, featuring a special TRIBUTE TO RACHMANINOFF as well as enlightening lectures by special guest presenters.
