Soprano Yetzabel Arias Fernandez performs for the first time for Miami Bach Society audience with the program La Lucrezia (Georg Friedrich Handel) directed by Jay Bernfeld. La Lucrezia includes Cantata Spagnuola a voce sola; Pensieri Notturni di Filli HWV 134; Cantate La Lucrezia HWV 145; Sonata a Flauto e Cembalo HWV 362 and Suite for Harpsichord d minor HWV 428.
Yetzabel Arias Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba where she started her music studies in cello and piano. She continued her postgraduate studies in Italy, under the direction of Vincenzo Manno in Milan. Mrs. Arias has recorded several CDs and DVDs. Among them Handel’s cantata Tirsi, Clori e Fileno which won the important Stanley Prize 2010 in London as the Best Handel’s recording of the year
