The Great Jaguar Rescue. From Jun 14th through Jun 15th, 2008.
The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and Broadway Across America present the new live stage show Go, Diego, Go Live! The Great Jaguar Rescue on June 14th and 15th, 2008. Featuring Diego, his sister Alicia, and cousin Dora the Explorer, this new show is an interactive high-stakes quest through tropical forests and a raging river to find Baby Jaguar’s growl and kick off the Animale Carnivale, the biggest party of the year. Performances will take place at the Arsht Center’s Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.
In this Broadway-style production, audience members sing, do the cha-cha, travel down a rainforest river, and learn how each of us is special in our own way. Every child in the audience gets their own Jaguar mask, which they then use to help rescue animals during the show. The show also includes familiar songs from the TV show, plus 12 original new songs created exclusively for the live show by the song-writing team of George Noriega and Joel Someillan – the creators of the music for Go, Diego, Go! on TV.
The show was created by the team who brought us the record-breaking Dora the Explorer Live, which was seen by over 3 million people. The lead role of kids’ favorite adventurer Diego is played by Jesse Carrion, who recently starred in the 2007 national touring production of Rent and the original play The Lockdown Club at the Stella Adler Theater in Los Angeles.
