Galerie Bertin-Toublanc . Miami Art GalleriesParisian art gallery, Galerie Bertin-Toublanc, will be opening their first U.S. branch on December 4th, 2007 in the Wynwood Art District. The gallery is a 17,000 square foot space with multiple galleries for individual exhibits. Already a force in Europe, the gallery will be launching in Miami to feature cutting edge, contemporary artists from around the world such as Baba Anand from India, Mauro Perucchetti from England, Supakitch from France, Philippe Chevallier from France and Liu Bolin from China.

Baba Anand’s exhibit will be about contrast and confrontation. It is based on two themes: Bollywood meets Hollywood, and India’s gods versus the catholic saints. Parked in his exhibit will be his grandest piece of art, a pink Cadillac with Swarovski crystals. Mauro Perucchetti’s work is a mixture of minimalism and pop, fused together with elegance and an ironic wit. Supakitch is known for his mix of technique and vast use of color that glide into a graffiti style that is inspired by the music of Daft Punk. He has been given the carte blanche to create his own person universe within the walls of the new Miami gallery. Phillippe Chevallier has an amazing eye for light and composition, turning realistic focused photography into sensual abstraction. Liu Bolin focuses on photography which he experiments with the "chameleon" position of man in his urban environment.
