After nine years of performing in Miami almost exclusively in the underground scene, Locos por Juana is thrilled at their first concert for all ages. "It’s time we do this show and we’re really excited," said lead singer Itagui. "We have fans of all ages and it will be great to give a concert for them in the city where we live," he concluded.
Almost a decade ago in Miami, six young friends, all music lovers, decided to do what for many seems cliché, but for these friends was the beginning of what would soon be an iconic underground movement in its own right. They said, “Let’s make a band.” Doing what they love, they developed a fusion of urban genres and tropical elements, creating Locos por Juana Latin Urban Orchestra and currently releasing their much anticipated third album, La Verdad. Their first production distributed and market by a major label (Machete Music/Universal Music Group), was released May to critical acclaim. The album reflects the bands maturity achieved primarily by years of touring and performing live to what has become a legion of loyal fans.
Locos por Juana is composed of lead singer, Itagui from a town of the same name near Medellin, Colombia; Barranquillero Javier Delgado “Lakambra” on drums; Guillermo Cabral "El Chamo" on bass and percussionist Alan Reyna, both from Venezuela; Emiliano Torres “Che Funk” from Argentina, on trumpet and Miami-born Colombian Mark Kondrat on lead guitar.
