The Deering Estate at Cutler welcomes artists from their community partner, The Bakehouse Art Complex, who will showcase a variety of works that draw contemporary associations with the recognized movements from France and the Unites States from 1922-1927; La Belle Époque “Beautiful Era”, the “Roaring twenties” Surrealism, Art Deco, and Art la Rue “Art for the People”. The exhibit will also be on display during the Deering Estate Foundation’s signature event “Wine on Harvest Moon” on Saturday, October 27th which this year will feature French wine and food.
The Deering Estate at Cutler’s Art on Loan Program has been successful in attracting art and artifacts for public display or exhibition, which has included all forms of historical documents and artifacts, fine art created for aesthetic purposes and fine craft created for functional purposes. The Exhibits and Collections Advisory Committee, representing leaders from local galleries, cultural organizations and museums and academia, works with the Director of the Deering Estate at Cutler and the Exhibits and Collections Staff to identify unique opportunities for collaboration in interpretation and exhibition.
Prior exhibit partners have included the Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami Art Museum, LegalArt, HistoryMiami, Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, GroveHouse Artists, amongst others.
