On Sunday, March 19, 2017 Fotomission and Tropicolor will host the 13th South Beach Photomarathon at the Miami Design Preservation League, an exciting event that is open to all those who enjoy photography.
Sign-in: 9:30am
Start time: 11:00am
Finish Time: 4:00pm
Participants will be assigned six topics to photograph on the streets of South Beach over a period of five hours. The topics will be kept secret until the event day and are purposefully vague to give the contestants plenty of room for self-expression.
The best photos from each topic will be selected, and from those the first, second and third place winners will be awarded cash and other prizes, including large acrylic-mounted prints of their winning images. The winners will also be exhibited permanently on fotomission’s website along with all the contestants’ images.
Participants will receive an ID badge at sign-in at the Miami Design Preservation League, 1001 Ocean Drive, and during the event the secret topics will be divulged every 2 hours at various stations on South Beach.
