Frank Simon’s revolutionary documentary The Queen looks at the drag and pageant culture pre-Stonewall. Taking the audience back to 1967, this documentary serves as a record of a queer New York City and a fascinating portrait of the subject and queer icon, Mother Flawless Sabrina.
In conjunction with the exhibition Art after Stonewall, 1969-1989, the Frost Art Museum FIU is partnering with Flaming Classics to deliver a night full of drag, performances, and a special film screening of The Queen!
Following the screening, local drag queen and winner of Miss Ultimate Drag Queen Miami 2019, Karla Croqueta, will deliver a special performance and discussion about the history and future of drag in Miami.
Doors will open to the General Public at 5:00 pm. Seating is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.
Location: GC 140 Theater
