FIU Chamber Players Series: The Early Romantics

Tuesday, January 21st, 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

The FIU Chamber Players highlight its outstanding faculty performers in an evening of virtuosic works by the early romantic composers. Renowned FIU violinist Robert Davidovici will join Maestro Grzegorz Nowak and the FIU Symphony Orchestra for an outstanding program including Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major, Mendelssohn’ s Violin Concerto in E minor, Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri Overture and Ravel ‘s Le Tombeau de Couperin.

The FIU Symphony Orchestra is lead by Maestro Grzegorz Nowak, Principal Associate Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. Under his guidance, students learn the variety of orchestral repertoire and are guided to become excellent orchestra musicians. The FIU Symphony Orchestra was created by Carlos Piantini, former first violinist with the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein, who later became a celebrated conductor of major orchestra in Europe and Americas.
