The film series “Migraciones: Mirando al Sur” presents thirteen films selected from an extensive process that will give us an audiovisual space to find answers to our immigration questions. “The filmmakers’ outlook confirms a shared concern to show the immigration paths and report the human rights violations we suffer as we dare to cross borders,” explains Katia Lara, filmmaker and series' curator.
“Migraciones: Mirando al Sur” is a project developed by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) in conjunction with the network of Spanish Cultural Centers that will take place in several Latin American countries and Miami. This project aims to serve as a space for diffusion, study and reflection on the Central American migratory movement and its cultural repercussions.
