Fringe Theater of Key West invites for an experience with no lights and no costumes, just a group of folks, who love plays, sitting around and reading them out loud. Plays Out Loud is part of a program going every first Monday until June, where over the course of 60 + minutes the participants read selected scenes from one play.
In this occasion the play Fences (1983) by August Wilson (winner of the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this play explores race relations and the effects that bitterness of lost dreams has on people) will be discussed briefly, and then a variety of people get a chance to read out loud.
