By Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. From Jan 6th through Dec, 2007.
The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is launching a new project entitled FAB: Film for Kids program. The program begins on January 6th, 2007 and will be presented the first Saturday of each month through December, 2007 at the festival's year-round theatre, Cinema Paradiso located in Fort Lauderdale. The film program will be free of charge and include new films geered for ages 3 to 9 and a variety of pre and post show activities such as Make Your Own Commercial, Arts and Crafts, and puppet shows.
On January 6th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. FAB presents two featured films and three short films. Following the films, children will have an opportunity to color and create scenes from the movies or their own imagination. The first screening will showcase The Little Polar Bear: Best Friends Come in All Sizes. Based on the beloved children's books, The Little Polar Bear is a wondrous, warm-hearted feature-length tale sparkling with snowbound adventure, breathtaking animation and a gentle message about accepting others' even if they are different. Later that day, the film The Itchy Tongue, in which a vegetarian cheetah mistakenly eats poison ivy, will be presented to the little audience. Among the three short films to be presented that morning will be The Cheating Cheetah, The Adventures of the Lost Eyeball and The Little Polar Bear: The Dream of Flying.
