Sunday, May 18, 2014. Performances at 1:30pm and 3:30pm
Dance NOW! Miami, under the direction of Diego Salterini and Hannah Baumgarten, returns to the Bass Museum of Art for the fifth Ekphrasis Project, creating dialogue between choreography and visual arts. This dynamic, site-specific performance will feature new works by Salterini and Baumgarten, directly inspired by the current art on display and the unique architectural elements of the facility and grounds.
Audiences are led through a series of performance stations within the gallery walls; each station with its own visual art offers the best vantage point to enhance the experience of both art forms. Past DNM/Bass Museum collaborations have been inspired artists ranging from Ferdinand Bol to Jenny Holzer, DZINE to Charles Ledray and most recently, Eve Sussman – The Rufus Corporation.
Admission: Free with museum admission: $8.00 (Adults), $5.00 (Seniors and Students with ID), Free for members and children under 6
Museum Hours: Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, Fridays from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. Docent tours by appointment.
