Cuban artist Luis Gomez’ aesthetics explore the tensions around the concept of “canon”. Gomez sees art as an encounter between the spectator and the artwork, so he aims to recreate environments through installation, photography, drawing, painting or video; where the different media contribute to free the spectator from plain rationality and conceptual understanding.
Luis Gómez b. 1968 (Havana)Cuba.
