Daniels Center for the Arts located in CityPlace, West Palm Beach, FL will be celebrating the Hispanic Month Heritage with a calendar of events that includes an art exhibit, music showcase, talent show, a Hispanic movie night and a Latin bazaar.
The activities will start on Thursday October 7th at 6:00 PM with a cocktail reception in association with The Benjamin School featuring an art exhibit of painting, photography and sculptures featuring oil paintings by Dominican artist Jose Abud and Colombian painter Carlos Cardona, breathtaking photos by Mexican-American artist Raquel Romero Lambert, interesting sculptures by Argentinean artist Andrea Bottelli, pastel painting by Puerto Rican artist Lourdes Rodriguez (elected Best Artist of the Year of the LatinArt Expo 2010) and the acrylic portraits of celebrities by Bolivian artist David Banegas who is gaining international attention for his unique style. The reception will also feature Colombian folklore dancer Amanda Ocampo and Mexican singer Sergio Resendiz. The art exhibit will be available from October 7th to the 17th from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Friday October 8th will be a Hispanic Movie Night from 6:00PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday October 9th the celebration continues with a talent night featuring Latin pop and Colombian singer Carlos Daniels, poetry by Alida Toro and music by Estela Negrete and Milagros Hernandez winners of the IX Hispanic Song Festival.
Sunday October 10th Daniels Center for the Arts will celebrate with a Latin Bazaar and Gran Sale of home accessories and artisans from Peru, Mexico, Chile and Colombia with up to 50% off.
