From Jul 8th through Sep 28th, 2006The exhibition Women of the World at Damien B. Contemporary Art Center continues on view featuring the latest works of muralist and painter Christian Bernard and sculptor Elyan Biscayn. Christian Bernard, also known as Narbero, is a popular artist whose colorful paintings, murals and frescos have gained critical praise and popular appreciation in the United States and France. His current exhibition, Women of the World, is a series of paintings that depict women from diverse nations in their indigenous attire. Sculptor Ms. Biscayn has created her PalmArt Collection, inspired by the native trees of the Sunshine State. She applies resins to palm fronds to form symbolic shapes that are carved, finished and mounted on geometric pedestals of marble and steel. The results are sculptural works of art that combine nature’s beauty with a very special artistic vision. The exhibition will take place at Damien B. Contemporary Art Center located at 282 NW 36th Street, Miami, FL opening on July 8th, 2006 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The opening night of the exhibition will benefit the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation For more information, please call: 305-573-4949
