In 1999 he was elevated to Senior Curator of Painting and Sculpture, which only added to his influential art expertise. He left his position at MoMa in 2002 and took on the role as the Rosalie Solow Professor of Modern Art at NYU. In 2007, he became the first American to receive the honor of serving as commissioner of the Venice Biennale. He is currently Consulting Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Since 1981, the Green Critics’ Lecture Series has introduced an array of art world luminaries to the South Florida community, including renowned artists, museum curators, scholars and critics. The Frost has hosted such distinguished figures as Philippe de Montebello, Terry Gross, Carlos Fuentes, Robert Hughes and Michael Graves.
