at Harold Golen Gallery. June 21st, 2008. 8:00 p.m.Harold Golen Gallery, located at 314 NW 24 Street in Wynwood Art District, continues presenting its cycle of computer music and art nights. The thematic evenings include experimental sound and video works, acousmatic compositions, live interactive music performed with physical and Cyberinstruments, laptop improv, open musical circuits, Miami sound-art, installations, robotic music, network music and more.
June 21st, 2008 will be Night # 8 and its theme is Objects and Spaces. This will be the last night before the July and August summer brake and it will feature J. Variego, M. Solomon, C. Udell, S. Kim, T. Reed, J. W. Park, C. Kim, R. Brown and M. McCabe, the composers from the Florida Electroacoustic Music Studio at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
The program will include compositions for clarinet, bass clarinet, choir, controllers, real-time video and computer sound. Nine composers will be present to perform their works and discuss their views on creative existence of physical and digital sonic objects in curious resonating spaces and places. Admission will be a suggested donation of $ 5.00, which will contribute to covering expenses for the production.
