Intersections (after Lautréamont) refers to the notion of beauty and how, during each era, art is responsible for reformulating, subverting, or proposing alternative ways of understanding beauty. Setting an initial point of convergence this exhibition questions the changes produced in the Miami scene in relation to Latin America; and also the wide range of concerns that occupy the award-winning artists of this year.
Artists on view are Iván Argote (Colombia), Adrián Balseca (Ecuador), Javier Castro (Cuba), Domingo Castillo (El Salvador), Nascimento/Lovera (Venezuela), Alice Miceli (Brazil), Naufus Ramírez (Guatemala), Silvia Gruner (México), Pablo Vargas Lugo (México) and Leandro Katz (Argentina).
