Frost’s new Director of Choral Activities, Amanda Quist, leads the Frost Chorale in an evening of choral masterworks. The performance features Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw’s To the Hands, a work that not only follows up on Dieterich Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri, but also Emma Lazarus’s The New Colossus, the poem on the Statue of Liberty.

This production unites two influential contemporary Spanish artists: Marco Flores, a multi-awarded bailaor and choreographer, and José Almarcha, a lead guitarist. Both develop a dance, scenic and musical dialogue that spontaneously juggles embracing and departing from classical forms, which creates their contemporary expression.
