Meet Sherry and John Petersik at Books & Books, Coral Gables. January 9,  7:30 p.m. and January 10,  6:00 p.m. John and Sherry Petersik, the husband-and-wife duo behind the DIY design blog Young House Love, had done little more than change a lightbulb when they bought their first house – a ranch-style fixer-upper in Richmond, Virginia – in the fall of 2006.

December 2012. Miami Beach residents have seen prized historic homes demolished in their city for years now. Sadly, local historic preservation laws do not adequately protect these houses which are integral to the fabric and quality of life of the community and representative of its history.

August 2012. Cartier is one of the first new luxury tenants to open in the Miami Design District. The new Cartier boutique will have a 4,331-square-feet store, with just under 3,000-square-feet for retail space. The boutique will feature a mix of Cartier’s jewelry, watches, accessories and fragrances.

A number of local residents, business owners and developers are concerned about the number of historic Little Havana bungalows that have been razed (destroyed) in recent months – sometimes just to make way for a parking lot. Little Havana has more bungalows than any other neighborhood in Miami.
