Presented by MDC and Inter-American. From Mar 25th through Apr 26th, 2008.
Miami Dade College and Inter-American Development Bank join forces to present the exhibition Beyond Borders: Modernism Through a Selection of Artwork from the Collection of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. The exhibition opens to the public on March 25th, 2008 at the Miami Freedom Tower, located at 600 Biscayne Blvd. in Downtown Miami.
In addition to showcasing the collection of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), this reception is being held in anticipation of the IDB’s 49th Annual Meeting, which Greater Miami will host from April 4th through 8th, 2008. This official gathering serves as the premier global forum on Latin American finance, trade and development. The 2008 Annual Meeting provides a platform for discussion among the institutions’ governors, most of whom are finance ministers and central bank presidents, and is an opportunity to feature seminars on philanthropy, regional integration, green energy and social inclusion.
The IDB Miami 2008 Host Committee Inc. is an innovative, not-for-profit, public-private partnership established to coordinate the 2008 Annual Meeting on behalf of the United States. Drawing on the ideas and energy of the private sector, and representing the South Florida community’s economic dynamism and commitment to the Western Hemisphere, the Host Committee offers companies, universities and institutions an unprecedented opportunity to partake in the planning and execution of this historic event.
