Bass Museum of Art presents music, visual arts and film.

April 6th, 19th and 23rd, 2006Bass Museum of Art is hosting three interesting events during April that will include music, visual arts and a film screening. Starting with the event From Beethoven to Gershwin: A Concert With Commentary, Bass Museum offers audiences Beethoven’s powerful “Ghost” Trio for violin, cello and piano, Khachaturian’s exotic trio for clarinet, cello and piano and music by Gershwin are some of the pieces performed by four acclaimed performers: clarinetist Paul Green, violinist Sergiu Schwartz, cellist David Cole and pianist Harold F. Lewin. Later on April 19th, the Art Crowd event will be Off the Beaten Path: Inside the Artist’s Studio with Sheila Elias. An exciting look inside the studio of Sheila Elias, one of Miami’s most recognized artists. Reflecting a perpetually curious and adventuresome mind, the combination of photographic and digitally applied imagery of Elias’ latest work explores memory, perception and fantasy. The last event to be showcased in April will be Marilyn Monroe’s final project, “Something’s Got to Give”, which has become one of the most talked about unfinished films in history. Through interviews, never-before-seen footage and an edited reconstruction of her last film “Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days” provides a definitive and fascinating look at the last act in the life of the worldís most famous tragic superstar.
