ArtCenter South Florida Presents Two Workshops

May 27th and June 10th, 2006The ArtCenter South Florida will present two workshops. Learn to Draw Superhero Comics from Jerry DeCaire and A Screenwriting Workshop with Harriette Yahr Jerry DeCaire is a well known comic book illustrator. Some of the Marvel titles he has drawn for include: X-Men, Wolverine, Conan the Barbarian, The Punisher, The Mighty Thor and other various projects. DeCaire was also pleased to be a part of the resurrection of The Green Hornet with Now Comics in the early “90´s. Currently, DeCaire is illustrating books for Moonstone Books located in Chicago Illinois. Harriette Yahr, writer, filmmaker, and film instructor, whose short films have screened at Telluride and Sundance Film Festivals, will lead a workshop on screenwriting. Yahr’s films include, Baker’s Men, which has aired on the Sundance Channel and Logo. She’s written for the Advocate, Salon.com, The Independent Film Video Monthly, and others. Yahr has participated on various film festival panels, taught filmmaking at University of Miami, and worked as a guest lecturer at Dartmouth College. Yahr also works for Seventh Art Releasing in Acquisitions, is on the faculty of the Mobile Film School, and operates TheWritingConsultant.com and TheFilmConsultant.com.
