From Oct 9th through Nov 12th, 2010.
Long term Gallery artist Jeff Pullen brings his New York skyline constructions to Adamar Fine Arts this Fall. This exciting exhibition of his newest body of work captures the architectural illusions and realities of New York’s buildings and skyscrapers. The show opens to the public during the Design District Gallery Night on Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
Born and raised in New York, Pullen gets his inspiration from the flashy Broadway corridors, to the soaring skylines. Working a unique reality/illusion dynamic, Pullen paints New York images onto constructions of brick, wood, plastic, louver doors, car-hoods, etc. The images undulate across these constructed surfaces creating energy and a tension that seems to say ‘ this is New York’.
Jeff Pullen’s work is represented internationally in numerous private and corporate collections., including New York University’s Washington Square Windows in 2008 and Broadway Windows in 2004.
