In the 16 years since the death of Celia Cruz, there have been many tributes and concerts dedicated to the immortal Cuban singer, but none has been as personal as this one. The great Puerto Rican singer India will take the stage of the Adrienne Arsht Center to pay tribute to her idol and teacher, but above all, the woman who was her godmother.
The greatest hits of the Queen of Salsa will live again in the unmistakable voice of India, winner of the Latin GRAMMY® and seven Billboard Latin Music Awards®. An all-star orchestra will be responsible for accompanying her in the songs that defined La Guarachera del Mundo‘s career such as “Quimbara,” “La vida es un carnaval” and “Bemba Colorá,” among many others, as well as India’s own hits. Celia Cruz baptized her with the nickname The Princess of Salsa.
