Through September 9, 2012.
Minimaldose500mg is presenting in this exhibition a limited edition box (1/12) conceptualized in a survival kit containing: a leather jacket designed by Yael Barnatán and retouched by the well-known Spanish fur designer Elena Benaroch, a MTN spray can designed by Lucas Benarroch (Mrka), a stencil, a print and a bronze certificate of authenticity by the sculptor Adolfo Barnatán. A series of videos directed by Jaime Barnatán, Pacool and Lucas Benaroch (Mrka) to shape the campaign and promote the Project will be also shown.
Among a collection of various brushes and sprays one will discover Lucas Benarroch (Mrka), “a young graffiti artist and graphic designer” accompanied by his young collaborators Gonzalo Hergueta and Sophie Garcia. They’ve painted in yellow an ephemeral and amorphous “W”, without limits on the floors and walls of this space, the symbol representing Wu-tang Clan, the famous hip-hop collective of the nineties.
This “trompe l’oeil” in three dimensions poses an optical illusion for visitors. To decipher the visible in the invisible, the visitor will have to be positioned in a specific location in the space so that the eye perceives the work in a two-dimensional form. This representation is inspired by the work of the famous photographer Georges Rousse and is summarized in a photography by Ignacio Barrios.
On October 12, 2012, Buzz Art will officially open its space specialized in photography and video.
