Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Every third Thursday evening, Pérez Art Museum Miami’ (PAMM) brings together an eclectic range of internationally-acclaimed DJs and musicians for an outdoor music series by the bay. This month, PAMM presents Teengirl Fantasy featuring Hoody.
While they were students at Oberlin College, Nick Weiss and Logan Takahashi connected over a shared love of classic house and techno records that prompted them to make “some kind of dance music that wasn’t just emulating what we were hearing.” The result is a-typical for electronic dance music: colorful, maximal textures that move along with a driving rhythm, yet retain a distinctly human and emotional core.
Teengirl Fantasy’s set at PAMM will also feature R&B vocalist/producer Hoody, hailing all the way from Seoul, South Korea. Together, they will premier their forthcoming joint single, “U Touch Me.”
