Bass Museum of Art. June 8th, 2008. 3:00 p.m. Young pianist Marta Milosevic-Brankovic will perform at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach on June 8th, 2008. The program prepared for the evening reflects the progression of keyboard music from the Baroque style of Johann Sebastian Bach's famous Sarabande in C-minor to the minimalist structures of rhythm and sound of Ligeti's Musica Ricercata; and from the Romantic nuances of Chopin's Nocturnes to the jazz-influenced classical music of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
Marta Milosevic-Brankovic who was born in Belgrade, Serbia (former Yugoslavia), recently completed her second Master's degree at Florida International University in the studio of well known concert pianist Kemal Gekic. Since her concert debut and highly acclaimed performance at the Ganz Rudolph Hall in Chicago in 2005, Ms. Milosevic- Brankovic has held more than forty solo performances in the US and Europe and won many international prizes.
