Orchestra Miami is proud to continue its series of Free Outdoor Concerts, with two more performances of “Beethoven on the Beach”. These concerts are presented as a gift to the community, completely free of charge. The concerts are co-sponsored by the Citizens Interested in the Arts, Inc., the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City of Miami Beach and Atlantic Broadband, and presented in association with the Hispanic-American Lyric Theatre. In what has become an annual event, Orchestra Miami will present these concerts in two public parks in Miami-Dade County.
Sunday, March 17, 2013; 7:00 p.m. at the Pinecrest Gardens’ “Banyan Bowl” (11000 SW 57 Avenue) in Pinecrest- gates open at 6:00 p.m. – General Admission Stadium Seating. Concessions will be available; Please no outside food or drink.
Sunday, March 24, 2013; 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Park (19200 Collins Avenue) in Sunny Isles Beach – please bring lawnchairs/blankets. Concessions will be available, or bring your own picnic.
“Beethoven on the Beach” will feature an all-Beethoven program, conducted by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi. This year’s concert begins with the dramatic “Coriolanus” Overture, Op. 62, “Ah, Perfido!” Op. 65 for soprano and orchestra, featuring Miami’s own Elizabeth Caballero as the soloist. The concert ends with the joyous Symphony N. 7 in A Major, Op. 92.
