July 2010.
College students from the New World School of the Arts Dance Division will attend the New Prague Dance Festival in the Czech Republic from July 1st to July 8th, 2010. The festival brings dance companies from all over the world to take master classes, participate in workshops and seminars, share ideas and creative work with dancers from all over the world, visit museums and cultural sites.
“We will be performing Robert Battle’s “Battlefield” at the National Theatre of Prague. The students will experience performing for an international audience and bring home cultural and artistic experiences they could not get at home,” mentioned Daniel Lewis, Dean of Dance at NWSA, who will accompany the students along with faculty Maureen O’Rourke, Lara Murphy and Joshua Gumbinner.
The Festival/Competition is open to private and amateur dance schools, groups and institutions without age limitation, as the purpose of the festival is to provide all participants with a unique opportunity of experiences charged with emotions in the magical atmosphere of the beautiful city of Prague.
