From Oct 24th through Nov 22nd, 2009.
GableStage at the Biltmore will be presenting the first production of their 2009-2010 Season, the Southeastern Premiere of Neil LaBute’s Reasons to be Pretty, opening on October 24th and running through November 22th, 2009.
This off-Broadway smash, which became one of the year’s most acclaimed plays, is an edgy and darkly comic love story about the impossibility of love and the subjectivity of beauty. The author of This Is How It Goes and Fat Pig, both successes at GableStage, once again takes no prisoners, tackling the taboos and unspoken truths of contemporary American life.
Time Magazine exclaimed that Reasons to be Pretty is “the best new Broadway play of the season!” and The New York Times raved “A real love story! Mr. LaBute is writing some of the freshest and most illuminating American dialogue to be heard anywhere these days!”
