From Jun 1st through Jun 9th, 2007For the eleventh consecutive year Miami will become the capital of the Brazilian film industry, when the Brazilian Film Festival takes over the city from June 1st through 9th, 2007. Brazilian and American actors, directors, producers as well as professionals from the local film industry will be in town to watch the latest Brazilian productions, all US premieres. The event, produced by Inffinito, is the largest competitive screening of Brazilian films held abroad and therefore the most important showcase of Brazilian film industry outside of the country. More than 20, 000 attendees, among Americans, Brazilians and Latinos, are expected at the screenings. The Opening Night will take place under the stars, in a giant cinema built specially for the festival at North Beach Bandshell. The Outdoor Movie Screening will feature Carla Camurati’s Irma Vap – The Return, recipient of last year’s festival Best Public Choice Award.
