Todd Goldman: New Paintings From Feb 14th through Mar 22nd, 2007Jack Gallery, located at 5919 Seminole Way at the Hard Rock Complex in Ft. Lauderdale, is presenting the bold and provocative new body of work by one of Florida’s hottest artists in the international art market, Todd Goldman. Todd’s ascent is nothing short of remarkable. From his first fine art exhibition, The Stupid Factory, in 2004 to his current exhibition at Jack Gallery, he has sold nearly eight-hundred original paintings. His career follows in the footsteps of pop artists Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Kenny Sharf. Lauded as a “Post-Pop Sensation” by Art Business News, Todd consistently blurs the line between fine and commercial art, high and low, “good” and “bad.” His paintings combine sharp wit, double entendres, and politically incorrect social satire. “I think what I’m doing is funny,” he says. “And other people do, too.” Like many of the best post-pop artists, Todd’s work extends beyond the world of fine art into print and television. Boys Are Stupid, Throw Rocks at Them was published by Workman in 2005, and Todd has several books coming out with HarperCollins and Random House publishers this year. An animated series called The Uglies is also in the works, and Todd has been featured in People Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Décor Magazine. Jack Gallery and its parent company, S2 Art Group, are the exclusive representatives of Todd Goldman’s paintings and hand-signed, limited-edition lithographs.
