Presenting artist in residence Nall From Dec 4th, 2006 through Jan 14th, 2007The Miami Dade College (MDC) Art Gallery System (AGS) presents New World School of the Arts artist-in-residence, Nall, who will have a campus-wide exhibition of more than 150 works during two international art shows taking place in Miami in the next two months at various locations at MDC’s Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Avenue, Miami. Nall’s 1970s intricate drawings from his series entitled Alice in Wonderland will be on display in the Centre Gallery in building one of the Wolfson Campus. In addition, MDC will exhibit icons from Violata Pax; large panels with interpretive visuals of the Wounds of Humanity on the façade of the New World School of the Arts and at the James K. Batten Community Room, building two. The Wounded Peace Dove, a 13 foot, two ton bronze sculpture will be placed on the Wolfson Campus at its Sculpture Plaza. The Alabama-born Nall is a modern-day Renaissance artist who was invited to exhibit and teach workshops at MDC during the months of December 2006 and January 2007. As artist-in-residence, Nall will work with art students and will also provide the opportunity for one of his apprentices from the New World School of the Arts to travel to Vence, France next summer to participate in a work-study program under his non-profit arts organization.
