Florida’s Premier Live Music Festival is back!

University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and presenting sponsor UHealth, announce the spectacular lineup of the 33rd annual Festival Miami! From January 19 to February 11th, 2017 the festival will offer unique concert programs performed by Grammy Award-winners, Broadway performers, chart topping DJs, and acclaimed musicians, in the intimate UM Maurice Gusman Concert hall on the Coral Gables campus.

Each year, Festival Miami stages a broad range of performers encompassing classical, jazz, bluegrass, contemporary, international, acoustic and children’s music, and concerts are categorized into four exciting themes: Great Performances, Jazz and Beyond, Creative American Music, and Music of the Americas.

The Festival begins with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra presenting HOUSE OF CARDS IN CONCERT at the Knight Concert Hall in the Adrienne Arsht Center. Other highlights during the festival also include:

  • Latin favorite and three-time Grammy nominated TIEMPO LIBRE (Jan. 20), Grammy winners LA SANTA CECILIA (Jan. 27), and the innovative virtuosity of QUATTROSOUND (Feb. 1)
  • A Star-Studded DIZZY GILLESPIE TRIBUTE with the FROST CONCERT JAZZ BAND (Jan. 26)
  • An Evening featuring Masterpieces by Pulitzer Prize winner STEVE REICH (Jan. 29)
  • The festival Miami debut of singer-songwriter EMILY ESTEFAN with a unique spin on originals and popular songs (Feb. 2)
  • Life in the Psychotropics and Other Musical Adventures by BRUCE HORNSBY with the HENRY MANCINI INSTITUTE ORCHESTRA (Feb. 4)
  • Jazz Sensation BECCA STEVENS with the FROST JAZZ VOCAL 1 ENSEMBLE (Feb. 8)
  • Famed Fiddler and Festival Miami favorite MARK O’CONNOR and THE O’CONNOR BAND’s Coming Home Tour (Feb. 9)
  • Historic and New Premieres performed by the FROST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (Feb. 10)
