Opens for the first time in MiamiAn invitational contemporary art fair, PULSE, will premiere during the upcoming 2005-2006 international art season in Miami’s Wynwood Art District, coinciding with Art Basel Miami Beach and The Armory Show in New York. PULSE will present over 60 galleries, in a program where international galleries and U.S. galleries are equally represented. The fair will feature a curated contemporary art program with emerging and established artists from around the world invited by a committee of arts professionals. PULSE is intended to become a way to bridge the gap between established and alternative art fairs. In its director words, ” The goal of PULSE is to establish a global – as well as local – cultural partnership with young gallerists, dealers, and collectors, while engaging an audience of art patrons, enthusiasts, critics, curators and academics through the presentation of new artistic trends and exhibition concepts. The art fair will also include a special “Impulse” section, open to younger galleries through a special application and selection process. PULSE Art Fair 212.255.2327 www.pulse-art.com
