Tigertail Productions presents Bare Bones, a concert byGodoyPradera Projects, the dance company comprised of Lazaro Godoy and Carlota Pradera. Bare Bones was selected by The Miami Herald as one of the five best bets in dance in the annual 2014-15Season of the Arts. Bare Bones premiered to a sold out house each performance last August in the Miami Theater Center’s SandBox Series. Many people were turned away due to the sellout. Now Tigertail has provided another opportunity to experience this critically-acclaimed dance work at Miami-Dade County Auditorium On.Stage Black Box.
Bare Bones was created, directed, choreographed and performed by Carlota Pradera and Lazaro Godoy of GodoyPradera Projects. They are assisted by visual artist, and filmmaker Juan Carlos Zaldivar, artistic director; Juraj Kojs, composer and sound artist; Rainer Davies, co-composer, sound artist and live performer; and Alexey Taran, lighting designer and stage manager.
In the words of the artists, "Bare Bones opens up a world of unfiltered truths from the tangled-up stories of two bodies that leave traceable marks made of bones, flesh, tortures, and memories evoking dreamy scenarios. The work is concerned with dominating, disconnected human behaviors. Tightly stacked-up defensive bodily walls armor us as man-made borderlines, stretching us apart as strangers. The work contrasts poetic visuals with gruesome disfigurations empowering a message where human contact and love are at the verge of extinction, while fervently desired.".
