16th Annual Great Taste of the Grove Food as Art Exhibition

Call to local Miami artistsThe Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce invites all local Miami artists to submit examples of their best Art Work in any medium to be judged as an entry in the special “FOOD as ART” Exhibition which will be a special art attraction at the 16th annual “GREAT TASTE OF THE GROVE”, to be held in Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Road, Coconut Grove, Fl., On Sunday Jan. 29th, 2006 from 12noon-8PM. Awards will be given and the exhibition will continue to be on display in the Coconut Grove Chamber Glass House through the month of February including the days of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. The art submitted must be from local Miami artists, and must be work that revolves around the theme of food and/or drink, the art may also include music, but food and drink must be the main theme. We are looking for entries from all art mediums, including paintings, ceramics, wood cutting, glass, photography, etc. Each chosen artist will be given a display space (the space will accommodate approximately six paintings per artists, other mediums the amount will vary) which will be located inside a large “Food as Art” tent. You may also submit work to be considered as the image for this year’s “GREAT TASTE OF THE GROVE” poster and T-Shirt, so please send your slides or digital photos in soon. Please complete the attached application and return by regular mail include 3 slides of your work, or if you reply by e-mail, attach 2 jpeg digital photos of your current work. There is a $25.00 non-refundable entry fee to be paid to The Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce. Accepted entries must be received by December 23th, 2005. The submitted photos will be juried, and the chosen artists will be notified.
