Miami Watercolor Society Award Winners and Signature Members Exhibition

Exhibition will run October 1 - October 20
Opening reception will be held during the Grove Gallery Walk on Saturday, October 1

This exhibition features 40 of the best works of the Miami Watercolor Society Signature and Award Winning members.  The Miami Watercolor Society (MWS) was founded in 1974 to promote watercolor painting, and now has a membership of around 130 local artists.  A culturally diverse, nonprofit organization, MWS is made of professionals as well as emerging local talent.

Works from 40 different artists will embody many forms of watermedia in a wide range of styles and themes, all with the common thread of exploration and love of watercolor painting - a medium that is unique in it's ability to capture the brilliance of light.

A series of workshops, lectures and events will accompany this prestigious exhibition.

This exhibit is curated by Lilia Garcia and presented by the Coconut Grove Arts & Historical Association. The Association also hosts artists in the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery, located next door. For more information about the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery, please click here.
